Does the eComStation ACPI/APM driver support the VIA C7-M PowerSaver? so that the processer can change frequencies? I know that you can throttle Intel & AMD CPUs, right? I ask because I want to install eComStation on my Sylvania G Netbook (Everex Cloudbook) but can't get eCS to install from USB. If I can, I would like to help get the hardware supported by eComStation.

The hardware is not available.
User writes: I will try and buy another VIA powered computer in the Everex StepNote? NC1500. I will let you know if I get it.

From using the GetSetState? tool, it looks like it can read the throttle states of the VIA C7-M correctly, but it appears to be locked at 1.6ghz (state 0).

This ticket is extremely old and for an unsupported version. Please try the current version.
Running acpistat will tell you if throttling is supported on your system. It will also tell you if Performance Control (Speedstep) is supported.

No response. Very old ticket. Throttling and Performance Control is assumed not supported on this machine.
Usially, only add in own acpi table throttling and powersaving, attach here acpi.log, pls
