|
Playing sound through UNIAUD API (WarpVision?) works fine, but playing through Dart only works corect for first sound. Sounds after that are cut either at start or end. Often the player doesn't exit, which can make WPS hang, if system sounds are enabled. Attached log shows a mem allocation problem. |

| #171 | SB Live silent with 1.9.19 | UNIAUD16 | defect | major | 08/13/09 | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

The uniaud32.sys from the 1.9.19 build works fine on my SB Live 5.1 card, but the uniaud16.sys (448+) causes my card to be silent. The one included in 1.9.16 (418) works fine with the newer uniaud32.sys. I do not have any ACPI driver installed. What jumps out at me is the garbage at the end of the PCM device name. Looks like some string corruption happening there... |

Log attached as debuginfo_1.9.2.zip Replacing the above working files with those from http://download.smedley.info/Uniaud_114R396_198R387.zip I have no audio following a reboot. Log attached as debuginfo.zip A brief glance into the output produced by the unimix -list command reveals that there is a problem - have a look at Control ID3 in the mixer logs in the attached zips. |

Installed to a Toshiba Satellite P105-S6147 intel Pentium Dual-Core T2060 processor. Audio device in the laptop is an Integrated 00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio Controller (rev 02) ACPI support was installed with /SMP and /EIS options. System boots fine - keyboard is a bit 'slow' and the mouse (USB) a bit 'jumpy', but I do not have working sound. Looking for a solution or directions/suggestions on what to look for/at or do to get my sound working. Not sure here, what 'Version' applies to, so I may have that incorrect. Thank you. |

| #180 | Uniaud finds onboard HDAudio (AMD ATI Radeion) | UNIAUD32 | defect | normal | 06/14/10 | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Uniaud finds onboard HDAudio (AMD ATI Radeion onboard audio adapter) although user wants to use other audio adapter. How to force uniaud use other adapter? |

| #181 | Incorrect mixer controls on nVidia HDA MCP61 audio + Analog Devices AD1988 mixer | UNIAUD32 | defect | normal | 06/23/10 | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

uniaud191_1922 report Hardware: nVidia HDA MCP61 audio + Analog Devices AD1988 mixer Installed the uniaud*.sys drivers and rebooted No looping Startup sound. smplayer still works, vlc - no sound. Klondike Solitaire plays very slowly - not sure if this is uniaud related but with the uniaud drivers usually in use here this game is much quicker. os2chess crashed after several minutes use - may or may not be related to uniaud drivers. I needed to reboot due to the os2chess crash and it took 3 attempts before getting the system booted without looping startup sounds. This is actually a big improvement over the uniaud_1922 supplied with eCS2.0GA which *never* booted without looping startup sounds but is not as good as the drivers usually in use here, uniaud16.sy from 114rc6 and uniaud32.sys from uniaud32_192, which very rarely suffer from the looping startup sounds problem - the most reboots needed is *1* if looping sounds occur. I have now reverted to the uniaud builds mentioned above as they work better. The IRQ used by uniaud when using either uniaud191_1922 or the working drivers is IRQ11 which is not shared with any other device. |

Applications sound output (e.g. Z!, Emperoar TV)runs into a loop (repeating sound). It happens randomly, sometimes after a few minutes, sometimes after half an hour. The sound loop can be stopped by pausing the movie or the music stream for a while. After restarting the sound everything is back to normal. |

| #142 | unimix Documentation | Documentation | Stabilization | task | normal | 09/22/08 | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
Currently, there is no documentation for unimix, leading to (among other things) lack of sufficient feedback from testers whose hardware requires setting/getting various input/output levels. All parameters should be addressed, with an easy-to-read drill-down list of what id does what. The documentation should initially be in the form of a simple txt file, but later compiled into a .inf with standard documentation for Uniaud itself (see separate ticket). |

| #143 | Uniaud Documentation | UNIAUD16 | Stabilization | task | minor | 09/22/08 | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
Currently, the only documentation for Uniaud comes in the form a readme text file. My impression is that few people bother getting more than halfway down through the file, and it does not serve as a handy local reference due to its text format. I propose migrating much of the standard text in the current readme to a .inf, and reserving the readme for changes and updates. Ultimately, unimix documentation should be included in the reference documentation (see ticket #142). The component on this ticket should be "Docuemntation" and this will be recharacterized when that category is available. |

Hello, I installed eCS 1.2R (german) on a DT Research DT166 micro PC, which is based on AMD Geode LX8ß00 with comanion chip CS5536. The peripheral chips are RTL8139C for LAN and Realtek ALC203A for Audio. My question: Is it possible to support this hardware? As I saw, nearly all Geode-based Boards have this Hardware, especially the nice Alix Boards from PC Engines http://www.pcengines.ch/alix1d.htm I tried UNIAUD in several versions, but it does not load. many greetings from Germany and CU/2, Martin |
