Not detecting USB controllers.

My USB controllers are not being detected.

all report that the controllers are not detected.

This is a Fujitsu lifebook e8210. I am attaching my config.sys and instlog.zip

What happens if you disable ACPI.PSD? USB drivers are loaded without errors?

When I try commenting out ACPI.PSD, I cannot operate the hard drive.

Q66: I disabled ACPI.PSD and can't boot anymore A66: There are two suggestions:

1) detach the PC from AC, disconnect battery if using laptop.

Wait for 10 minutes, turn PC on again.

2) check filesystem: chkdsk x: /f

(boot from eCS CD1 or other bootable partition)

What do you mean under "it work fine" ?

but we can't help you, we don't know, does USB controllers drivers support your motherboard or not.

try boot from CD1, demo-CD and test USB.

try enable/disable USB legacy in BIOS setup.

Huh? Isn't that the point of this exercise to make it work? hcimonit recognizes the USB controllers. Since it is recognized there, I suspect that the drive probably will work with the correct configuration/switches or with a little tweaking.

I tried both legacy and non-legacy modes. I was unable to access the USB during the install process which indicates to me that the USB was not regonized from the CD1 configuration.

Ok. So you can boot now with and without acpi. I need in copy acpica$ acpi.log and output from pci.exe. pci.exe -d >pci.out. With boot from acpi and boot without acpi.

I could not get pci.exe to run. I need to run with APIC when using SMP.

Where can I find the ACPI.PSD version 3.4?

No difference. But the version number that displays is 3.05 not 3.5, as 3.04 is not 3.5.

Need, boot from install CD, do pci.exe -d >pciinst.log, then boot with acpi and do pci.exe -d >pciacpi.log. Attach here both files. You can try add /CD to acpi.psd.

For boot from boot drive w/o acpi you can try add pcibus.snp to snoop.lst and boot with full HW detect.
