Description
The system seems much better with this version! With the DOS and the Windows drivers REMed I tried various different ACPI parameters to make the /SMP /APIC to work wihtout the /!NOD (/SAP:0x20 /EIS /DV:0x57 /DV:0xF3 /DV:0xF4 /DV:0xF2 /DV:0x2F /OS="Microsoft Windows NT" /OSI="Windows 2001 SP1"). They all seemed to be don't care. /ALS made the computer to stop to the initial display. The only working parameter is still /!NOD. The acpi table(s) seems still corrupted. The Atheros Wlan is still not seen. The newest version of GenMac? seems not to work either. ACER Aspire 7520 G, AMD Turion 64 x2, Nvidia

NEW INFORMATION about the /SMP /APIC mode! The computer does not crash or stop working after all, but proceeds very slowly! It takes several hours starting from the boot manger to get to the blue screen with the mouse pointer! The mouse works in normal speed. Also the screen saver (in this case the Clock) starts working, and works in normal speed! After about half to hour starting from the Boot manager one can see on the display the following message: APM: Unsetting suspend state
Button KerBLock 4294967295 timeout Notify wait Counter0
NEW INFORMATION ABOUT THE PciExpress? bus problem: By pushing the WLAN power button ON and OFF one gets the following messages: EC QUE error St:2A Check - IRQ AcpWaitIBF Ctl=8 IBF=1 Check - IRQ AcpWaitOBF Ctl=B OBF=0 EC arm "_Q00" N:33 Cur:0
EC QUE error St:2A Check - IRQ AcpWaitIBF Ctl=8 IBF=1 Check - IRQ AcpWaitOBF Ctl=B OBF=0 EC arm "_Q60" N:3B Cur:0
Etc...
Hopefully you get some hint from this information in correcting the problems!

P.S. The desktop finally after many hours appears to the display. I also functions works correctly - but is is very very slowly! For example, it rakes several minutes to open a folder to see its contents!

e-co:
Thank you for testing. It's new for us that you can boot to desktop on Acer (in several hours).
In the past we have made the research and the current state: Intel ACPI-CA doesn't support Acer notebooks (you know, all manufacturers create different computers, although all are called PC-compatible)
So.. what to do? No reply.
btw, Dmitry Frolov knows what to write to PCI space to use WiFi? adapter: http://svn.netlabs.org/acpi/ticket/226
